I like my IPod Touch because I think it's getting me ready for the future in interactive computing. I've been eyeballing it for awhile and finally was brought over because I got $100 off by joining the Audible Book club (I've been into audio books for awhile).

PROS:

Viewing photos on the device is the BOMB! This really sold me on the device because you can re-size the photos.

Games and applications are great because I don't like to sit idle. So when I'm waiting around (like for an appointment) I can play some games or listen to my music/audio books.

CONS:

I don't believe it's worth the full price because you don't get much memory space.

The actual device is easy to use, but as usual interacting with iTunes can be a challenge. I just don't understand why I can't drop and drag music, video, and photos into the actual device (like my iRiver). Also, I can't load and watch videos unless they are ones purchased from iTunes (there may be an application to solve that, but again, I can do that with my iRiver).

I received this product very fast in the mail, and it was packaged well (bubble wrap or air cushions, I can't remember). I unboxed it, no fancy box or anything, but I really don't care about that. I plugged it in and it worked. I have been using it nightly to charge my iPod Touch 2g 16 gigabyte and I haven't encountered any problems, this product simply does what it says it will at a very good price. A great purchase for charging an iPod, iPhone, or (I suppose) another USB powered device.

I suppose there are defective units floating about, and I have seemed to get one first. I had to go to the local Apple Store to help troubleshoot, and they confirmed that the problem was the unit. Great to have honest Apple Geniuses! The vendor refused to pay for return shipping, a small item, so be aware when seeking a low price. It took awhile, but my replacement Apple USB power adaptor finally arrived. I tested it on my new (late 2009) Shuffle and it worked. I then recharged my new late 2009 Touch, and the obvious problem is that there is no light to indicate when the charging is completed. It took about two hours for me to wait to determine the status of the recharge as full, so that was that.

This was the most unsatisfactory experience I have had with ordering from Amazon, via though another retailer, but you can't complain about the low price. I knew there was some catch to the reduced price, so that was it. If you are willing to make returns and troubleshoot the problems, go ahead and order. I have lots of time, so it's worth it to me. I intended to use my iPod while on the road, so I needed a recharger. I don't plan to buy a MacBook, so this was the way to go. Now I can recharge at will as long as I have a power outlet, and can use my devices as frequently and profusely as I wish, pretty much. My older USB power adaptors were found to be incompatible with my new late 2009 iPods, so this presently does the job. Beware of older adaptors, even as they state compatible, as Apple must have changed the battery to not be functional with some third party manufacturers devices.

"Excellent camera" 2009-11-11

This is my first DSLR and I am extremely happy with my purchase. I did a lot of research and had narrowed it down to the Rebel xsi and the Sony A330. I ultimately went with the Rebel because its shooting speed (fps), my comfort level with Canon cameras (my point and shoot was a Canon), and because of Canon's excellent reputation.

What I like most about this camera is how easy it is to operate in manual mode. Being able to adjust the auto-focus selection manually is awesome. A nice bonus is the large LCD screen (larger than the Rebel xs). It was important to me have a quality live view and this does not disappoint...although I thought I would utilize this function more, but actually prefer to use the viewfinder (mainly for the auto-focus points that are only visible in the viewfinder).

I cannot say enough positive things about the Rebel xsi.

This is my first review I have ever posted on Amazon.com. I really hate reviews written by people who have absolutely no idea as to what they are talking about. I have owned the Canon Rebel Xsi now for almost two and half years. This has been by far one of the best camera's I have ever owned. This review is for those who are serious about shooting and will use the camera on a near-daily basis.

I got started in photography by taking a required art class in college at the University of Mobile. Since I cannot draw, paint, or sculpt , the logical choice for me was photography. While taking the photography 101 class I used my room mates Canon film camera that is over thirty years old. Oh, and I got an "A+" in the class. Yeah who cares right, I know I am just saying.

While shopping for my next serious camera I decided to go with Canon for several reason's. There are more professional photographer's who use CANON camera's than any other brand combined. I was first trained and taught on a CANON film camera. CANON offer's more lens to choose from than any other brand. You can use any kind of CANON lens you so desire. The best part is that the sensor buried deep inside of the camera is NOT a full-frame sensor. Unless you are a photographer shooting for an ad agency that puts up billboard signs you will most likely never need a full-frame sensor. It gets even better. Because the Xsi is not a full-frame sensor you are getting a .6 of a zoom in. This means that you are getting at least an extra half times zoom free just for buying a 1.6 size sensor!

Initially, I bought the Xsi because of the price and features offered. I am not going go into every feature, just what was and still is important to me. I really liked the huge 3 inch display on the back of the camera. The display in terms of color quality really is just that good. I initally bought the camera so I could see my settings on manual on the display screen. However I have recently been shooting so many concerts and events that happen at night that it is easier to just look through the viewfinder.

I have small fingers and I like how all of the buttoms are on the right side of the body on the back of the camera. Keep in mind the back of the camera is where you will see most if not all of your buttons and functions. All of the buttons are easy to find in the dark and become second-nature should you invest the time to find the appropriate button and learn how to adjust settings on-the-fly. Ideally as a photographer you should be able to adjust all of your settings in the dark (school plays, concerts, firework displays)

Most of the professional series camera's have CF cards that hold all of the shots on the camera. I really like how the Xsi uses SD cards. I have found unless you are shooting high-speed photography (airshow, sports, etc.) a class 2 (known as classII) SD cards will always get the job done. However, if you shoot weddings, basketball games, soccer, hockey, concerts, airshows, etc.; you will most likely want to spring a little extra money for the Class III SD cards. Is it worth the money? In a word if you shoot all the time, yes by all means. I have taken my SD cards swimming in the ocean by accident and even forgot to remove said SD card from my shorts before drying a load of clothes! SD cards can take a beating and still perform flawlessly.

I have really become enamored with the menu button switch on the back of the camera. With this button I can select the file quality, AEB, Flash exposure, picture stlye, format cards, custom settings, etc.

The AEB stands for Automatic Exposure Bracketing. If you are in love with HDR photography , you can hit the AEB button, tell the camera how far apart you would like to set the exposure(s), and press the shutter once for 3 different shots taken without having to do any of the work. In other words, you press the shutter and 3 different shots are taken for you.

If you are still reading my review the file quality is there in case you need it. Serious photographers shoot in RAW and use Lightroom or photoshop to convert the images over to JPEG for saving to a PC and printing at a lab. The advantage with RAW is that RAW gives you way more control over the shot you took. In other words, let's say you took a shot and the flash did not go off. You can used RAW to pull more information about that image to bring out the natural lighting and color all in this same shot!

What's nice about this feature is if you need to dump tons of photo's onto someone's PC you do not need to convert the files!

White Balance is your ability to set the true color in any environment. Very few church'es look the same on the inside. Likewise there are places that have crazy color's. An example are children's rooms, rooms that are completely covered with wood paneling, places where it is very dark, brightly colored rooms in orange, pink, purple and of course red. Whith white balance I can use a sheet of typing paper, lally cap, or a white balance card. All I have to do is press the "WB" button take my white balance photo and we are done.

P stands for program. So, you do not want to shoot in auto because auto is for idiots right? Use P for professional.

Tv stands for time value. If you are shooting with a flash indoors at a wedding brithday party, etc use Tv at a setting of 1/125 of a second. If you are shooting in very low light you would use 1/13th of a second.

Aperature Priortiy is for the experts. No need to explain.

M for manual use for concert studio photography. This is also for those who are hard-core shooters.

The Xsi can be remotely fired with a remote for group shots (with yourself in it). The remote is $30 and is not a bad investment. You can use a small 5-6 foot cord to prevent shutter shake if your camera is placed on a tripod. The Xsi also has a several settings for a timer with a flashing light on the front to indicate time left before flash goes off. The mount for a tripod on this camera is just outstanding I have never had any issues with it.

ISO button can be slightly hard to reach but, I have found you will never need to see where it is located. It will almost always be bright enough for you to see. The ISO nutton hassaved my behind so many times it is not even funny. ISO is always of great importance when selecting a camera.

OK have you ever noticed how some of the pop-up flash(es) out there are really weak? Well with the Xsi you can dial up or down just how much power (light) the flash puts out. If you are shooting a wedding or some other high-profile event, the external flash can be controlled through your lens and your camera. Your sensor tells the flash when to go off how bright, flash duration, etc. In fact you can simply use the fash and forget that it's there; it simply works automatically. I have found with CANON flash systems however I like to set my flash exposure at 1 F stop greater than zero.

Now for the review of the 18-55mm AF IS lens. The next person who tells me this lens is a piece of garbage is gonna get hurt! OK all kidding aside this really is a nice everyday lens. I am not sure what the fascination with zoom lens is. I mean it is totally ridiculous. If I am shooting a ballet or a wedding I can expect a minimum of 4 or 5 people to ask me how well a 70-200mm lens works.

Getting back to the 18-55mm lens this is the lens to use for architecture, night scenes, fireworks, family photo's, landscape, vacations, etc. Just because there is very little zoom does not mean this lens sucks. It is great for which it is intended. If you wish to have greater zoom simply buy a lens that has greater zoom built in. A 17-85 IS AF lens is a great example and it is relatively cheaper than say a 24-105mm lens.

In a word will buying this camera make you a better photographer no! No camera out there can do that for you! Is this a great entry level camera to use? Heck Yeah! I did not mention the Live View function for good reason, it sucks. Live view is a useless feature that is useless on nearly every camera out there. While your friends are setting up thier shots with thier fancy 'lil purse pocket camera's you are long done with the shot.

The only thing I do not like about this camera is the body is made of plastic and it does not have movie mode. But, the newer CANON camera's are equipped with this feature.

Beleive it or not the rules of photography have not changed, they have become even more important than ever before.

This was my first SLR since converting to digital. I previously had a 35mm Canon Rebel that I loved although it was rather basic and old, then I had a Canon Powershot which was good. I was hesitant to switch to a digital SLR because I thought the Powershot was all that I would ever need; after all my old Rebel film camera was lacking in features and took average shots - so a point-and-shoot digital was better. Why would I need anything more than a point-and-shoot?

I was so wrong. The Canon Rebel XSi is an awesome camera, loaded with useful features that are easy to figure out. The Rebel line has come a long way in innovation since going digital, and the control and quality of a DSLR cannot be touched with a point-and-shoot. I still like my point-and-shoot because I can keep it in my pocket for easy traveling; but the XSi is my main camera.

If you are new to digital SLRs, or new to SLRs, or new to photography; or upgrading from a point-and-shoot -- this is the camera for you. If you have the extra money for the T1i, it's a little better with video; but the XSi is still great for photography.

Check out the manual by Ben Long for a great set of instructions on how to use this camera. It took me about a month of steady shooting to really understand it, but now it's like second nature. I highly recommend this camera.

This is truly a great all around MP3 Player. The MicroSD card slot kills it; a 16gb micro SD card is easy attainable through ebay for ~$25. The radio is really good, the video is legit. The voice recorder make this a college student's dream, you can listen to the player while you take it to class, then record lectures in a digital format while you are in class. The microphone is pretty legit. It may not be as mainstream or, in my opinion, as good looking as an iPod nano, but for the money it is probably the best choice. The current generation iPod nano is quite schnazzy, but this definitely kills the previous generation iPod nano.

"Returned it and bought the Canon SX200is" 2009-11-05

I'm a longtime owner of Canon cameras (both film and digital) and waffled between this Panasonic and the Canon SX200is for quite a while. Since they were so closely matched, I finally decided on the Panasonic for two reasons; I thought I would dislike the Canon's automatically deployed flash, and I liked the "one-button" movie shooting of the Panasonic.

I used the Panasonic for about a week before sending it back for the Canon. I wasn't satisfied with the picture quality, came to dislike the lack of manual controls, and really resented Panasonic's proprietary (chipped) battery. While I knew about the automation in the Panasonic before I bought it, and was aware I could "hack" the camera's firmware to allow it to use aftermarket batteries, those negative qualities finally overwhelmed any appreciation I had for the camera's good qualities. Panasonic should be ashamed of themselves for their transparent ploy to force users to buy their $50.00 OEM battery, when aftermarket batteries are available for a third of that price.

The movie features of the Panasonic were very convenient and I suppose the stereo sound was an important feature (hear the *but* coming?), but I wanted a little camera primarily for shooting still pictures. If movies were that important to me, there are plenty of video cameras which take good still pictures.

The Panasonic is a very solid little camera which feels like a quality item - it just didn't meet my needs.

This is a not a review of the Canon SX200is, but I have to say I'm glad I finally decided against the Panasonic.

A great camera. We travel a great deal and the size and flexibility are just about perfect. It fits in your pocket, but will do just about anything my much larger camera will do. Get the non-glare film for the LCD. It works very well and protects the unit in your pocket.

I purchased this camera to replace my slowly dieing canon powershot SD550. I was very familiar with the canon interface and was hesitant to change brands. However, after reading multiple reviews i decided to get the Panasonic Lumix ZS3. I can tell you that it was completely worth it! This camera has amazing picture quality, and for those who say it lacks manual controls i will say that this contains enough controls to make me happy. I love manual controls and i frequently use a Nikon d30 for specific shots, but this camera will be taken with me 90% of the time. This camera allows a selectable max 1/250 shutter(any shot) to a min of 60 seconds(starry sky mode) or 1 second for any shot. The interface is different from canon but the quick menu makes changing settings very easy. The camera is fast and has great features, what more could you ask for? To sum it up: The picture quality is comparable and even better to DSLR's in some sitations, the 12x zoom allows for wide angle shots all the way into 300mm distant shots! Did i mention 720p video? Great quality with some of the best audio recording i have heard from a digital camera. I cant stress this enough, this is the best camera to get right now hands down.

I have used the ZS3 for a week and I must say Panasonic has its place in digital camera/comcorder market. My first Panasonic which purchased 6 years ago (DMC-FX9) is having power button issue and therefore I have to purchased a new one. The old camera last me for 5+ years which is satifactory. Well, it was expensive though last time ($[...]), for the FX9, hey, the ZS3, which is a far more superior camera, only cost $[...] nowaday!

(I) Camera performance: the Leica lens with 25mm wide angle is superb. I am now able to capture more things with the extra angles. If you put a camera without wide angle next to the ZS3 and view the screen you could tell the big difference. The pictures are sharp, clean. Night shooting is also superior when using the slow sync flash function. Panasonic camera is by far the most superior when using it on night shot, couple with its Mega OIS + shake-proof stablize technology, capturing memorial night view moment is at ease. I still hold my Australia's trip pictures and my friends just can't tell it is captured with a compact! But hey, that was with the 6 years old FX9; I bet ZS3 would do even better than that~

(II) Now here is the bonus - HD Video Recording: If you pay a little more ($[...]) to have a choice than ZS1 (which without HD video recording), ZS3 is indeed a good value camera. Recording HD Video is extremely easy - it has a designated 'camcorder' button right above the negivation buttons. Instead of turning the mode to video mode, there is no longer such need with ZS3. Simply hit that 'record' button whenever you are in camera mode, and it instantly starts recording. The switch is instantly fast. With an 8GB SD card, you could record full HD (super fine resolution) up to an hour (about 61 minutes). We spent the last Halloween with kids treat-or-trick in Mall of America. I bet I would hold on to my HD camcorder purchase for a long while :D.

ZS3, to my surprise, records the HD video very well. The video quality is superior enought consider that just a digital camera lens, and sound quality is good too. There are Left and Right microphone right above the camera and we can't get surround, but the sound quality is good enought as like a $[...]+ non-HD DVD camcorder.

I finally found something that takes great pictures without sacrificing the ability of good video recording. I would say this is a good family camera too. You may imagine the hassles to bring strollers + diapers bag + car seats when travelling. With a single device that does both Photo+Video, ZS3 is a good size camera that does that, and does it well.

The actual connector you receive is of such poor quality that after a day of use it broke. After this happened I popped apart the end (which is of horrid quality plastic) and saw the solder points on two of the wires had come off. How great of quality is that?

Not to mention that the ipod end of the wire is much much bulkier than the real Apple cable. I had to take off the case for my Touch 2g to get it to fit where the Apple cable I did not.

In all I wasn't expecting a whole lot for the price, but figured for how much less it costs I could make do with it. Do yourself a favor and save your $5 it'd cost to buy and ship this. Put it towards a proper cable, this one will not satisfy your needs.

We bought this camera without any research, a friend had recommended Nikon, so we just trusted the brand and went for it. We liked the price since we have three little ones who get their hands on things and tend to break them before they've run their life expectancy. We knew we weren't getting a deluxe model, but assumed that we'd at least be able to take a decent, clear picture. Nope. Not on any setting. And the time between shooting the picture and when the camera actually takes it is ridiculously long...its hard enough to get kids to look at the camera as it is...I can't tell you how many of our pics with this camera have been of my kids walking away from the shot (and to top it off, it's blurry!!). Even the videos we've taken have been broken up and halted. We'll probably go back to the Canon PowerShot!

Bought this to temporarily replace my Canon until I could afford a higher grade camera and after using it for a few days I've decided to return it for a refund. I'm a hobbyist photographer and have plenty of experience with a multitude of cameras so an inexpensive point n' shoot such as this shouldn't have been a problem. I tend to steer clear of any electronic item that has a color other than standard silver/black as I feel they're typically marketed for the inexperienced and as teenager toys. In this case, I feel both applies. First, the PROS: I like the fact that you can use AA's rather than having a built-in rechargable, as you may not have the option to plug n' charge when you're out on vacation/sight-seeing. Sadly there is no auto-power-off feature so be sure to pay attention or even your spendy digital batteries are going to have a short lifespan when you need them most. The LCD is clear and large enough to get a good idea of what your photo will look like without having to squint. Camera has a sturdy feel/weight to it and is comfortable in a small to moderate sized hand. Ultimately the camera itself is fairly easy to operate and the fact that it has a built in video recorder will make it nice for someone who doesn't have need (or enough hands) to cart around a separate camcorder.

Unfortunately, several of the images came out blurry, over-exposed (even with the exposure adjustments that are easy to set up), or the colors were 'off'. I noticed that the red-eye didn't go off when it should have - specifically for pet photos. Also, the shutter is so slow that if there is even the slightest movement from your subject the image blurs and will render the photo useless. I've also found that if the camera has any movement just after the shutter clicks (between 2-5 seconds after) it will also cause your image to blur...I'm not the most patient photographer when it comes to having to hold a camera still after pressing the button. I was also not impressed with the software for transferring images from camera to pc - I prefer a plug-n-play style of uploading images, not because I'm computer illiterate, but because I'm lazy and just want the darn thing to upload my files quickly so I can edit them and upload them to where I want to send them. For those of you who've had better success with this camera - you've either got much more patience than I, or just not as much experience with photography even within this price range of cameras. For a temporary camera that you don't have to fuss with, I'd recommend a kodak throw-away over this one. Otherwise, pay more for a higher quality Nikon or look at Canon cameras.

I replaced my 2nd gen. nano with the new gen. 5. This nano does not work with my Jennsen speaker; the old nano worked well with this dock. Contacted Apple support and was told that, unfortunately, most of the older speaker docks have not 'caught up' with Apple technology: translation, 'you need to buy a new speaker dock'. When asked 'what docks would work with the new nano', I was told I would need to go the the internet, check the docks I might be interested in purchasing and then determine if they were compatible with gen. 5 nano.

I've always had iPod's. They are the only MP3 player that I will ever purchase. They have so many extra features and last a really long time. They're durable as well which is what I need. I seem to always be dropping mine and they last me five plus years. I was a little reluctant to use the nano because I've always had the video iPod and I'm definitely a creature of habit. I'm very happy with the Nano though! I love that they finally came out with an ipod with a radio built in. I like to listen to my morning radio while I'm working out and I'm able to do that now. I like that I can click the middle button when I want to know what song I'm listening to so I don't have to constantly look down while I'm driving. The only downside was I had to buy a new ipod dock to charge it. Overall I love it. I love how it looks, sounds, plays and all the extras. I would recommend this product to anyone looking into buying an MP3 player. It's easy to work and they've always lasted forever for me!

These come with the ipod, and they are simply AWFUL!! No wonder they're free! They don't stay in your ears very well, so if you're moving around you have to constantly readjust them! I haven't bought new ones yet, since I mostly listen through speakers, but I'm betting even the soft $5 ones at Wal-Mart (or anywhere else) are probably better!

As an avid listener to all kinds of music, I have to say that the only headphones I've tried that are worse than the Apple headphones are those cheap $5 ones you can buy from CVS. The Apple headphones don't stay in my ears well at all; they can be knocked out by anything from a gust of wind to turning your head. In addition they have AWFUL sound. Absolutely no noise isolation at all. No bass at all (unless you decide to keep the earbuds pressed into your ear really hard). Very flat (tinny?) sound with no "oomph". Not to mention they fall apart easier than any other pair of headphones I've owned (and I normally take care of my headphones quite well). I was so disappointed when my other headphones finally wore out, I had to use these for 2 weeks while waiting for new ones in the mail, and I'd forgotten how bad they were.

All in all, spending the $15 (plus whatever shipping) on these things simply is not worth it. I have found $15-$20 headphones out there with MUCH better sound than these.

Sophia global has excellent customer service. They address issues quickly and offer a fair resolution. I have had problems with the Yellow ink tanks not being completely empty when the printer says they are empty. As much as 20% was left in the tank. The other ink colors work fine. I tested other ink brands and did not run into this problem. I went back to the Sophia global Yellow and continue to have this problem. I am currently trying ink from another company but I would still recommend Sophia global because the problem could be with my printer. Sophia global gave me a total of 5 free ink tanks to make up for my problem. You can't beat that for customer service. Also, I felt they worked with me to resolve the problem. Some supplier would tell a customer "You must be doing something wrong. Or your printer is the problem". I appreciate Sophia global's fast delivery too!

The Canon CLI-8 3 pack has the basic colors in ink tanks suitable for many Canon brand printers. The tanks themselves are the 13 ml variety, and snap-in, snap-out for easy installation. I have never had a failure with the tanks themselves. I use my printer for everything from letters to graphics to digital photographs and the quality is just fine. This type is a little expensive but worth the price for most uses. Highly recommended.

I had an ipod shuffle that I really liked but it didn't work with my new car's radio system, so I needed to upgrade to a nano. I chose a 4th generation nano because I don't need the video element in the car. I'm not used to using the wheel, so it annoys me a little, but it does make it nice and compact with no buttons sticking out. I like the way my shuffle clamped on to me rather than me needing to buy something else to be able to wear the nano. I've really only used it in the car, and I love the sound and clarity of the music on ipod, and it works wonderfully. I've had it maybe a month and I've only had to restore it once but then I'm older, and technology doesn't come as easily to me as it seems to come to these young things. ^_^

I hate the new model, essentially because of two things: the extremely short battery life, compared to the previous iPod Nano, and the compatibility issues with the charging.

The short battery life is something I expected of this generation, since they included video and a larger screen, which are both great pros for this iPod, and make the short battery life livable with.

However, taking away the compatibility to charge with non-Apple products is unnecessary and disrespectful to clients. I rarely plug in my iPod to the computer - I only do so when I have to add new music. I use my iPod mostly with other devices which have charging capabilities - like the Griffin RoadTrip, the JBL speakers and the iHome - none of which can charge my iPod, making it very inconvenient for me to recharge it, specially when the iPod dies in my car because RoadTrip can't charge it and I'm forced to listen to the crappy radio. We already buy your damn ipods, which are essentially the same as every other goddamned mp3 player out there, but you force us to get rid of our now obsolete systems so we can buy your crap. Damn I do hope your market share goes way down.

This is my first Ipod and I was not dissapointed with it at all. Actually I take that back. The first Ipod they sent me had a dead battery and would not charge, but they were good enough to send me a new Ipod free of charge. I have had it for about 2 weeks now and am loving every minute of it. I will never go back to a regular MP3 player again.

Unfortunately you cannot run or exercise with this product. Perspiration will activate the liquid sensor. If you have any thing go wrong with the nano it will not be covered under warranty no matter what the problem. They will offer a replacement product at a reduced cost of $99. Throwing good money after bad. Bad business.

I just bought one of these and recieved it in the mail the other day. Opened up the package applied a screen protector to my Ipod 3G (did not come with case) and applied the case in under 30seconds. The feel of it is a good grip, and it will help keep the scratches off. The volume doesn't get muffled out by this case. Since I just bought my Ipod the buttons are hard to find and press with this case, but it is well worth it. YOU ARE not missing out espicially with a price like this.

Last night I lost my new iPod touch. I was pretty sure it had slipped out of my pocket and into the fresh Colorado snow in our apartment parking lot. After much searching and many tears, I let it go. The next day I was still pretty bummed about my iPod. However, when I got home from work and pulled up to my parking spot, I saw the iPod just laying there face down on the ground. Shocked that it didn't get scraped away by a snow plow, I ran over to pick it up, certain it would be ruined from the snow. It looked perfectly fine. I pushed the power button; it turned on! I ran to my computer in disbelief, knowing that it would not sync after such a long night and day spent in all that melted snow. Wrong! It works perfectly. What luck!

In conclusion, I know my iPod would not have survived the bitter cold and wetness if it had not been for this amazing cover. It is durable and fits snuggly. It was like a wetsuit for my iPod. I highly recommend it. It is SO VERY WORTH THE MONEY.

It seems every year Apple turns out a new toy in the form of a Nano. They are all virtually identical, with incremental improvements and additions which at first glance, appeal to new users. I have bought every generation of Nano since it first came out several years ago. But this toy is NOT worth $140-$150. It is a good MP3 player, which it is, but does not deserve serious consideration in the camcorder arena. There are no video editing capabilities, and the music capabilities are the same as they always have been.

I wont even begin to consider throwing away my current digital camera, which takes stills. That's yet another thing this Nano should be able to do but doesnt. When will Apple TRULY give you your money's worth with a mind-blowing device that will completely satisfy your music/video/photography needs? Next year I suppose.

5th generation ipod nano! I have never had an ipod of my own before. Since I have used my daughter's ipod many times, I am familiar with how the ipod works. ITunes is such a convenient way to organize my music that I decided that I wanted an ipod of my own. I really enjoyed choosing which model of ipod I would buy. The new 5th generation ipod nano was just coming on the market, and I kew it was the one I wanted. The variety of colors were a bonus. (I chose the blue.) The extra features (FM radio, video camera and pedometer) are useful and fully functional. I haven't tried the digital recording feature yet. The only thing I don't like about it is the touch wheel controls. I am starting to get a feel for it, but the sensitivity is hard to judge. Apple hasn't improved that part of the ipod. It is basically the same control as in the ipod I bought for my daughter five or six years ago. Even with the touchy controls, I am still completely satisfied with my new 5th generation ipod. Right now I have about 600 songs downloaded on it.

The 5th generation Ipod Nano is definitely worth the upgrade. I bought it mainly for the new video camera feature, but am have found myself actually using nearly every other feature almost daily. I keep it with me at all times, more than my cell phone. Here's my review of the features:

Video camera - The video quality is absolutely fantastic relative to the size and "add-on" nature of the camera. The image is better than my Kodak Zi6 when set on VGA. I do wish it had a 16x9 widescreen aspect ration, but I can live without that. Even the low light quality is good.

Microphone - The mic picks up sound better than every other pocket camcorder I've ever used. You can get clear audio at reasonable distances.

FM radio - The radio works pretty well, although I wish the antenna wasn't in the headphones. While the radio is nice to have, I really don't use it much.

Video playback - The new, larger screen is actually OK for watching downloaded or ripped content.

All in all, this is a terrific device with a LOT of functionality.

I cannot get the charger to work on the ITouch - 3Generation. This is very frustrating because I bought the Itouch for travel and do not want to carry my computer for charging - it defeats the purpose. Does anyone know how to make it compatible. It is nice to have all the cases to have choices on what you need, but not totally necessary. Feels like I got too much stuff and not what I really needed - the charger and one case.

Everything in the picture arrives in the package. However, quality is certainly not what I hoped for. Also, had I thought about it for maybe 30 seconds more, I would have gone to eBay and bought only the items I am really going to use. I think I would have used the hard clear case if it didn't have the honking huge non-removeable belt clip (think Batman utility belt) sticking out of the back of it. Car charger - maybe. I'll throw it in the glove box in case the need arises. House charger? Nope. Never. Just go to the laptop. Headphone splitter and extra headphones may come in handy after I retire and start taking bus trips with my wife. Final analysis is I just got my touch, and I wanted to dress it up. This stuff is everything advertised, and the price if broken down is about fair, but the bottom line is you'd have to be the mother of all ipod dorks to ever need all his stuff. So, the laughs are on me. Just ask my wife. 25 bucks better spent on Guinness.

The leather flip case I was most interested in closes with Magnets that KILL your IPOD - it came back the first time (when I assumed I had messed something up)...

But as I put it in the case the second time I watched it wipe the screen clear and haven't gotten it to come back on yet.

The items I received were pretty much what I see in the picture, except that the synthetic leather case has a belt clip that protrudes out. It is not removable. So it would not be suitable if you want to put it in a shirt or pants pocket, which is what I am looking for. The photos on the website do not show the reverse side of the leather case.

Other than that, the items were usable. Construction quality is not as refined. For example the USB sync cable that comes with the standard iPod Touch box is of better quality than that in the accessory bundle.

There are 4 cases -- a hard plastic case, a white silicone case, a black rubber case and the synthetic leather case mentioned above. Well, I can only use one at a time as they are made to fit my iPod Touch 3rd Gen nicely.

I just purchased my 2nd pair of the Coby CVE92 Isolation Stereo Earphones, so that I can keep one at home and one at work. When I first bought these I didn't expect anything too great for less than $6, but in my opinion the value received was much more than what I paid for.

Pros:

Comfortable (I can wear them for hours and not have any discomfort afterward)

Noise Reducing (If they're in don't expect me to hear you - it's all music!)

Durable (6 months of being tossed in my purse and they still work great)

Price (Usually less than $6 and quite often they come with Free Amazon MP3 downloads)

Cons:

Color (I do wish they came in black, but obviously not a deal killer)

Cord Length (At just about 50" from plug to buds it could be a little longer)

They're comfortable, they sound good, but they don't last very long. In less than a month you will have a short in one side it will quit working in one and you will end up throwing it away. But it doesn't cost very much. If you just wear your MP3 around the house you'll be ok. But if you work with them on or get a workout in then buy something a little more durable.

They worked really well until they broke four months after I bought them. I used them daily, but my Apple headphones lasted about two years under the same conditions. In short, they're cheap for a reason.

"A Palm user's view of the iPod Touch" 2009-11-02

I've been a heavy Palm user for some years now. Primarily I used my Palm TX as an eBook reader. That may seem pretty specialized, but I read a lot, and the Palm gave me a large selection of books and magazines in a package that was smaller and easier to handle than a single paperback. You'd think I'd be the Kindle's target audience, except that the Kindle is larger than what I want in an eBook reader.

I had a few other applications I used regularly, like a RPN calculator and a shopping-list utility. I played a few games on it, but nothing terribly memorable. What I did not use it for was the traditional "day planner" functionality that first sold PDAs. I kept addresses in it, but rarely needed them. The TX has a wireless web browser, but I gave up on it rather quickly. It simply could not handle the vast majority of internet pages at all, let alone gracefully.

Gradually, I talked myself into purchasing an iPod Touch. The truly functional web browser than sold the iPhone was sexy, but I didn't want to pay an iPhone's monthly fee. Sure, I have a cell phone, but I'm on an annualized prepaid plan because I spend less than $50 in air time a year, let alone $70 / month. Amazon now had a Kindle app for the iPhone / Touch, which meant I'd have a larger selection of books. The app store ads demonstrated the very large software support available for the iPhone / Touch. And Apple had decided that gaming was going to be a major focus for the Touch, which was quite different from the fringe areas that games always occupied for the Palm.

I've been using it for 3 weeks now, and I can say without question I made the right decision.

It's easier to use as an eBook reader. The Kindle reader is seamlessly integrated with Amazon, so it's trivial to get new books on the Touch, where it was a multi-step mild headache to do so with the Palm. The Touch is smaller and lighter, and the touch sensor is much more sensitive than the Palm's. The touch screen is capacitance rather than pressure based, so a light brush registers, where the Palm needed a definite tap, and frankly required the hard buttons to turn pages reliably.

My main regret in this area is that Amazon's Kindle app is so dead-set on letting me read only Amazon books. There's simply no way to transfer unprotected mobi-format books from other sources, unlike the physical Kindle device. Yes, I know this can be circumvented with Jailbreaking, but that's not available for 3rd generation Touches yet, and shouldn't really be necessary anyway. Other Touch applications that need to transfer files have found a way.

This has pushed me to using Stanza for all non-Amazon books, and I've really come it like it. It's just as seamlessly integrated with online book sources as the Kindle app, including the electronic book store I'd used upon until now, and some free sources for classic works like Feedbooks. Mobipocket, on which Kindle is based, was the best reader for the Palm, but frankly Stanza is even more polished.

The Touch really works as a web browser. I'm an information junkie. I like looking things up and chasing down stray threads. My pattern used to be that I'd think of something I wanted to know, and I'd make a mental note to look it up on the web later, and then I'd forget. Then I'd think of it again later, and I'd be annoyed that I hadn't looked earlier. Now the Touch is almost always in reach, and I simply look it up immediately. You wouldn't think the convenience factor would be that important, but in practice it's been great. It gracefully handles pages that are expecting much larger, higher-resolution displays.

It's in web browsing that the sloppiness of the human finger as a pointer is most evident. More than once I've wanted to select a specific block of text, such as in a search dialog, and found it difficult or impossible because the end of my finger is just a big, fat blob compared to a stylus or a mouse cursor. Still, I can see how the advantages of abandoning the stylus have outweighed the drawbacks.

The app store drives me a little crazy. It's great that there is so much software available, and that it's so easy to transfer to the Touch. While you can certainly transfer apps via iTunes, it's so much easier to just find it on the Touch directly and tell it to install. The problem is that it's very, very difficult to sift through that software, and that even the PC version of iTunes provides inadequate tools to search through it.

It's great that iTunes has Amazon-style user reviews, but you can't see the overall score for something on the search page, and you can't sort your search results by rating. And contrary to what I had heard, it's fairly obvious that Apple isn't acting as a draconian gatekeeper, since so much of it is, to be blunt, junk. This not to say good software doesn't exist. It's just that there's so much poor-to-iffy software hiding it.

This should be understood to be praising with faint damnation. The iPod Touch is a really slick device. It's a first-rate PDA, eBook reader, and web browsing device. And oh, it plays music, too.

I have now had the iPod touch for about 2 weeks and I really enjoy using it! It has incredible features, the screen looks fabulous, and there's enough space in it to put 5 times the amount of music I currently own! Own of the features that I found really helpful was the Windows compatibility, because most of my music was on a Windows computer which was transferred flawlessly from the PC iTunes program. I have found so many fun apps and also many apps, such as Rhapsody, which I find myself using constantly to listen to songs I don't own. One unfortunate thing that seems to be a common trait in the iPod touch (I have used two and both had this flaw) is that there is space between the screen and the sides, which, when you are in a dark room, makes the light from the screen visible through those cracks. This may not bother you, but I am very picky about these kind of things and I find it a bit annoying when watching a video in a dark room; it's certainly not enough to make me give back the iPod but it is something to think about if that kind of thing bothers you.

The apps, the web browser and iTunes on the iPod are all features which I find myself using a lot. The apps, with more than 100,000, are so varied and extensive in choice, you can find apps which turn your iPod touch into everything from a practical alarm clock to, my personal favorite, a fart machine. Also, with the new processor, the speed difference loading games is very noticeable as I have a friend with an iPhone who, when I began playing a game, immediately exclaimed, "Wow! Yours is so fast!" The web browser is a great, fast browser and it loads complex pages in very little time. If you don't have a computer with you, this is a great alternative. iTunes on the iPod is one of the coolest things ever, as I use it mainly for podcasts which you can download directly onto the Touch. I have also used it to download a TV show, which looked fantastic on the 480:320 screen. Music quality, with myself not being an audiophile, sounds great to me, even on the included earphones with which many people seem to have a problem. The remote control on the included earphones is extremely helpful if you do not want to take the iPod out of your pocket.

I love my iPod touch. It is a great music, video, and game player, and with such an extensive app store there are so many uses for it. It can even send free text messages to cell phones! I highly suggest it for everyone who wants a product which, as everyone seems to say, does everything you need and more!

Let me say this Ipod was a major user dissapointment experinece. Step 1. I charged the Ipod. Step 2. I started the Ipod only to find that until Itunes is downloaded to your computer, and you register the device, it is basically a brick, won't work, will not do any anything. It just diplays the whining message to load Itunes. I wanted to return it right there but is was a gift so I proceeded. After much time it reported that Itunes was loaded. After that the sync did not work. To be frank, Apple should pay us to accept this product push software. It's going back. I've had a PC for 25 years and never felt this put upon. To add insult to injury my Wifi is in the same room with me and loading web pages was painfully slow. That was when it actually recognized the node. The only plus was it is slim and feels good in your hand. If you actually want function, steer clear.

"So Far -- Much Better Than Things 4x The Price" 2009-11-01

I hesitated to buy such a cheap, dinky looking thing but was getting tired of spending $100 a pop for bigger and fancier looking items that turned out to have marginal sound quality, not really easy to use in my Honda Civic (deep curved dashboard above the lighter), and which would break after three months of twice-weekly use. So far, the iTrip is GREAT! The sound quality is much better than a Belkin TuneBase (at $92!) and it is much easier and safer to pick up the iPod or the channel indicator to look at it while you can still keep your eyes on the road instead of looking down into your car to fiddle with it. It is small, compact, simple, and the sound is free of static. The channel indicator with its old style LED font is a bit dorky (and it would be nice if it were backlit) but it works well enough. Otherwise, a very elegant and effective design. I wish the max volume was higher (the interior of the Honda has a lot of road noise) but I can hear lots of things that I couldn't hear at all with the previous two converters. I highly recommend this item.

This item looks nice and it is easy to do the hack that is described at the top of the reviews to set the frequency to 87.9, however there is still a good amount of fuzzyness that tends to come and go randomly, both in the city and in the middle of nowhere. I bought two of these for my parents back in December of 2005 to go along with their new iPods. 4 years later, they are still going.

Now, since then, the plastic shielding on the iPod end has come off. Because of this, the wires have come loose and it doen't charge any more. However, up until then, it worked beautifully.

Charging time is great. It can be dead when you plug it in, go grab some groceries, and be back at your car with ATLEAST half of a full charge or so.

Sound quality is great; though you may have to find the "sweet spot" in your car for it depending on the station you use.

All-in-all, it is great, and you will not be disappointed

"crappy suport for audio books" 2009-11-01

The support for audio books sux. the only way to view them is sorted by title. have theese people never been to a library? when you are trying to find a book you go by author then title, when everthing is listed by title only it is a p.i.t.a trying to find books. Also the software update that is avail won't load from vista 64b. Used my 1 free call to tech sup. to ask about theese things & was told that this was fault of operating sys, funny i thought software was supposed to be designed to work with os not the other way around. as for the prob with audio book sorting i was told that was bcuz i didn't get books from istore, i guess downloading from istore adds menu options to ipod that rn't there otherwise. felt more like i was being talking to a salesman than a tech support specialist. I did manage to find out that i could go by apple store & get software update installed free but this was not pointed out to me tell i asked if it was so. Yet they think i shlould pay more money to have access to more of the same. Until they have seriouly changed there attitude i will NOT be buying anymore apple products!

It has been a while since I have had a new ipod. The last one I had was a 2nd generation ipod mini with 4gb that I still and that work just fine. I wanted to put all my music in one place, so I bought this new one to accommodate my desire. It is a fine product that has met my expectations handsomely. Apple scores again with its easily accessible interface and high quality sound, all in a smaller case, lighter case than my old one. I am very pleased.

After the hassle I have had with converting my mp-3's and syncing this POS, I am sorry I bought it.

This was my third MP-3 and definitely the biggest hassle of all.

I figure I might have my MP-3 files complete conversions to APP format by next week.

The sync is not intuitive and the instructions are terrible unless you call the

infomercials for i-tunes provided helpful.

They are not.

This will be my last Apple product, they are way too Apple-centric.

This product was shipped in an envelope for 66 cents and costs over $3 to ship. If I brought more of these thin strips, for every three purchased, it costs another $3 more!! For ten packs, it would cost over $30 for the same envelope that ships for 66 cents!!

Also, it was difficult to apply without making "air bubbles" and they dont work out without ruining the sheet. You only get three sheets so BE CAREFULL!

These were pretty much useless. I tried applying one to my brand new iPod Touch, which still had a spotlessly clean screen. The plastic sleeve that held the screen protector was pretty dusty, and there must have been dust on the screen protector itself as well, because I ended up with dust and air bubbles between the protector and the screen that were impossible to remove. Also, there is a small white sticker on the screen protector that you're supposed to pull off once you've applied the protector to your screen. But that turned out impossible to do without leaving the sticky part of the sticker on there. I ended up giving up on this product. I use my iPod without a screen protector now--I clean it with a slightly damp microfiber cloth whenever it gets too dirty and I do have a good case for it, so it should be fine.

Bought these for Ipod Touch to replace the sheet that came on the Touch. Two problems, the tab to separate the protector sheet from the underlying sheet left adhesive behind and I could not get air bubbles out from between the sheet and the screen. Unless the next sheet is easier to install, I would not buy these again.
